Postnatal Support Network (PSN)
The Postnatal Support Network addresses the importance of a well-informed and well-prepared Fourth Trimester with a focus on the first 6 weeks postpartum. As an international charity, they promote a supported and postnatal time by organizing training for postnatal doulas and supporters, informing parents who are preparing themselves, and providing an online directory of local professionals.
European Doula Network (EDN)
EDN was founded, and is continually being built, not by one doula, but by inspirational doulas from all across Europe and beyond.
Each member brings their own specific qualities and experiences to help EDN keep connecting, informing and supporting doulas everywhere.
In 2024, the European Doula Network is connecting 63 Doula Associations and Training Programmes, from 27 countries and has 18 Friends of the EDN.
Their member associations include approximately 5,000 doula members.
Their training programmes have over 200 doula trainers and have trained more than 8,000 doulas in Europe and beyond.
Geboortenis
Stichting de Geboortenis is an initiative of mothers who are also birthcare professionals. Through its website and online learning environment, Stichting de Geboortenis offers information and education to (expectant) parents and their care providers. Members of the Birth Platform meet at live events and have the opportunity on the website to promote their own activities and training offerings, as well as a forum for the exchange of knowledge and expertise. Project group Geboortenis Zutphen is working on the realisation of an ecological Birth House in Zutphen, Netherlands.
